Mid 19th century buttoned sofa by Howard & Sons
Curvaceous buttoned sofa on turned walnut legs terminating in brass caps and castors stamped Cope & Collinson Patent. Horsehair stuffed original upholstery covered in Howard & Sons factory H&S ticking. Solid frame for upholstery. Paper label on cross stretcher scripted Howard & Son's, Berners Street and double serial numbering to back leg. Circa 1860.
