19th century overscale wicker basket
An overscale English willow wicker basket with twin handles, lettering C J H above L and numbed 39. Wicker in excellent condition with slight abrasions consistent with age. Some characterful warping as can be seen in photographs. Most likely from a Midlands textile mill.
